Goals

The Campaign to Restore National Housing Rights is working to:

  • Build unity, leadership, and power amongst the people most impacted by federal housing policies
  • Change the perception of and end the criminalization and abuse of our communities
  • Develop national strategies that function as a vehicle to support, elevate, and unite existing grassroots organizing
  • Build a unified voice and powerful base that has the capacity to challenge national decision-making, the decision-making process, and those in positions of power, as well as introduce innovate solutions that inform local and national policy
  • Preserve and expand social housing through publicly-accountable and equitable reforms
  • Develop models of participatory development built upon human rights principles
  • Ensure housing as human right is enforceable in the United States
  • Build networks with international housing rights movements and other domestic human rights movements
